Kean first for the chop?

I doubted him when Steve Kean was appointed last season. Following on from Sam Allardyce - and all he did for that club - was always going to be tough for anyone. For me Kean is a bit of an unknown quantity, he'll always struggle for kudos and attracting the big-name players as a result of that.

I think what has happened is, the style of play that he has tried to change hasn't worked. They had a disastrous run towards the end of last season, and a bit like Sunderland, that has continued. The summer hasn't really brought a fresh impetus to the club and I believe Steve Kean could well be one of the first managerial casualties of the season.
