Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp admits he is unsure if he will make a new move to sign David Beckham, amid reports he could join PSG.Spurs tried to sign Beckham last January after the LA Galaxy midfielder linked up with Redknapp's side for training following the end of the MLS campaign.
Beckham's contract at LA Galaxy expires in December and he has been linked with a switch back to Europe. Big-spending Paris Saint-Germain have been credited with an interest in the former England international with sporting director Leonardo keen to be reunited with the veteran having worked with him at AC Milan. Redknapp is a huge admirer of the former Three Lions captain, but he admits that he would not be able to guarantee him regular football at White Hart Lane. "It's a difficult one," admitted Redknapp. "You would love him around your football club. As I have said many times, you couldn't get a better professional and a nicer guy."But he wants to play and it would be difficult because I have a lot of players here at the moment in those sort of positions, so it wouldn't be easy. The newspaper further claimed that everything needed to conclude any potential deal is in place bar Beckham's signature, while even going so far as to state that accommodation for the player and his family had already been sought out. Reports by UK-based media also indicated that initial contact had been made between PSG and Beckham's representatives, but it is understood that the speculation is wide of the mark.
Beckham has previously stated he is reluctant to make a decision on his future until the MLS season ends in November." Beckham and wife Victoria recently had their fourth child and the former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder is adamant his family's considerations will be paramount in deciding where to go next.
